My blog at GoldenSwamp.com and now four books are on this point exactly. My view is that the knowledge students once were expected to find in schools has migrated to the Internet where it is open and free. Secondary education has become a form of incarceration for generations increasingly mobile in all they do. My 4th book which will be out in February is called "109 IDEAS for virtual learning" and I am hopeful it will help liberate our youngest generations from their static imprisonment in archaic settings.Judy Breckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08721725108630445575noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8932708.post-1129856925639212182005-10-21T11:08:00.000+10:002005-10-21T11:08:00.000+10:00Yup. We have a secondary school system that is shaped for the elite while we've destroyed the apprenticeships, technical institutes, and systems that were for the hands-on learners. For centuries only the elite who were linguistically intelligent went to universities Now anyone intelligent in different ways is taught to define themselves as inadequate.

Sometimes I think it's the educational bureaucrats and compliant teachers who are using the system to make themselves feel better than the students.Joan Vinall-Coxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07054812627103822788noreply@blogger.com
